At the November 2015 Tri-Lakes Board of Realtor’s® general membership meeting, one of our agents received a big surprise!
As the speaker began to mention the many accolades that this Realtor® has accomplished, you could see the unknowing recipient looking around the room to see who it might be. As the biography starting getting more and more specific he soon quit looking around and a smile of disbelief came across his face. Jon Holloway, was named the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtor’s® 2015 Realtor® of the Year!
The Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors® (TLBOR) is comprised of over 400 agents and this award is only given to one person each year. Realtor® of the Year is awarded to someone who maintains spirit, enthusiasm and the professionalism of a great Realtor®.
Jon Holloway is most certainly all of the above. He became a Realtor® in 2008 and by 2009 he had joined the TLBOR Honor Society, started serving on several committees for the Board, and received Rookie of the Year Award that same year. In 2012, Jon served as the Vice Chair on the Southern Missouri Regional MLS founders’ workgroup and together they formed the SOMO Regional MLS. In his career he has continued to serve the TLBOR not only on various committees to include RPAC, but also in leadership roles as the Tri-Lakes Board Secretary Treasurer, President-Elect, President, and Past President. He will also serve as State Director in 2016.
“I am very humbled to be considered among others who have received the Realtor® of the Year Award,” said Jon. Then with a contagious smile he added… “I’m just a guy floating around getting by on his good looks!”
Even in the announcement speech it was mentioned that “Jon is always professional and thorough and has a sense of humor like no other…even laughing at his own jokes!” But in all seriousness, we could not ask for a better representation of a Missouri Realtor® than Mr. Jon Holloway.
