Going strong since 1975, Duane and Kay Gerken opened their doors to help people in Branson buy and sell property. From high interest rates, to deregulation and ‘Black Monday’, real estate had its trials and tribulations in the 1980s. Through a strong code of ethics and high integrity, Gerken & Associates prevailed as the leading Branson real estate firm dedicated to serving and giving back to the community.
One decade led into another as Gerken & Associates assisted with the substantial transactions of the residential and commercial boom that hit Branson during the roaring ‘90s. The founding brokers served as local and state Realtor® Association Presidents, placing them in history as one of only two Realtor® husband and wife couples to achieve such honors from the State Association.
Charlie & Jeff Gerken, brothers and best friends, joined their parents as Partners in 2005 to help lead the firm into the next generation. With degrees in marketing and management, respectively, Charlie and Jeff transitioned the firm into the digital age. Their expertise helped the firm’s market share grow through the selective addition of exceptional talent.
Originally located in the Branson Heights Shopping Center on Highway 76, theyexpanded their office four times its original size since 2007. However in 2012, a devastating tornado hit Branson and completely destroyed their office. Within 8 hours of the destruction, Gerken & Associates pulled themselves out of the rubble and moved into their current location, The Branson Financial Center, located near downtown Branson. Determined not to let the 2012 tornado challenges set them back, this very same year, Gerken & Associates recorded their biggest sales volume in the history of the firm!
Gerken & Associates has an amazing dedicated team of agents. They are the only office in Branson that houses four Rookie of the Year Awards presented by the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors® to agents that within their first year have far exceeded expectations both in monetary form as well as service to the real estate community.
The agents within the Gerken & Associates umbrella have each served multiple times on the local realtor board, received awards and designations, as well as continue to play an active role in the community through the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Women’s Council of Realtors®, Relay for Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Boy Scouts, just to name a few. You might even see Duane Gerken, a founding broker, using his auctioneering skills at a local community event!
